Taking Time to Stop and Smell the Cookies
As we get ready to celebrate Christmas this week, many of us are in a mad rush to finish shopping for last minute gifts or wrap that last minute gift or attend one more holiday party …oh and don’t forget to bring the cheese ball when you go. We are all wrapped up (no pun intended) in running around marking things off our to do list that we forget what this season is really all about.
It’s about slowing down, enjoying some hot chocolate and cookies and most of all, it’s about spending time with those that we hold close and dear to our hearts. That’s what this season is really all about – enjoying time with those we love and having a moment of peace. It doesn’t matter if you celebrate Christmas or Hanukah, Kwanzaa or Ramadan, one thing that transcends all religions is the humanity of love, peace and joy. And that is what we wish for each of you this holiday season. So catch your breath, enjoy the eggnog and remember to spend a little time in the company of good friends and family.
