Kelly Wade, CEO - North American Roofing Services, Inc.

Chief Executive Officer

Kelly joined the company in 2009 as the Director of Marketing, and moved to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing, then on to VP of Strategy and Executive Vice President, until becoming COO in 2015 and most recently promoted to CEO in August 2017. Kelly is responsible for the strategic vision and overall operations of the company. She manages a group of 13 Directors and the CFO that make up the Leadership Team. Kelly grew up in Ohio with an entrepreneurship influence, and built a career of over 20 years of sales, marketing, business development and strategic planning experience to North American Roofing.

Kelly has a depth of experience in management, technology, strategic planning, creative execution, budget planning/analysis, media execution and new business processes. After graduating from Miami University, Kelly worked in the advertising and marketing arenas in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Miami before landing in Asheville and at North American Roofing’s previous headquarters. Her experience includes work with such agencies as Rapp Collins Worldwide in Chicago, Young & Rubicam Chicago, PDi Communications of Miami, and The Goss Agency in Asheville, North Carolina, for accounts including MCI, Blockbuster, Internet Billing Company and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. She was the Director of Marketing for national flooring manufacturer Mannington Mills in New Jersey, ecommerce transaction provider iBill in Ft. Lauderdale, homebuilder Arizen Homes in Miami, and The Boxing Club fitness chain in Southern California. Kelly has since earned her Green Belt in Six Sigma from Villanova University in 2014 and is currently obtaining her MBA to be completed in 2018.

Carol Baronofsky comes to National American Roofing as a Fortune 100 motivational senior leader with significant success in driving enhanced financial performance and accountability while holding executive roles including VP of financial operations at World Fuel Services Corp. and vice president of global finance at Arrow Electronics Inc. – where she spent an impressive 26 years. During her time operating on an executive level with Arrow Electronics Inc., Baronofsky was responsible for integrating finance functions into the daily operations of IT, real estate, operations, and logistics organizations globally.

Spearheading the successful and timely integrations of all finance activities for more than 20 significant North American, European and Asian acquisitions. Additionally, she led an initiative across multiple finance functions to assess and implement software solutions such as Hyperion, treasury management, and purchasing designed to upgrade and enhance global financial operations.

Ed spent 15 years with Otis Elevator Company where he developed an outstanding sales career working through a variety of roles. As Director of Service Sales & Business Development, North America for Otis, Ed managed inside sales, sales support, marketing, along with the training, talent acquisition, and project management. Ed has a wealth of experience leading sales teams and comes to North American Roofing with a proven record of meeting sales revenue expectations. Ed holds a MBA from University of Massachusetts and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified. At North American Roofing, Ed oversees the Sales, Marketing, and Estimating departments.

Ed McHugh, Vice President of Operations

Vice President of Operations

Ed has established a pattern of devoted leadership and high performance throughout his 27 years of experience. After graduating from Georgia State University, Ed began his career in Atlanta, as an Existing Building Group Manager for The Trane Company. In his 12 years in Atlanta, he trained and supervised the development of the EBS engineering team, oversaw sales forecasting and ensured revenue goals were met.

From Georgia, Ed moved on to serve as the Regional Service Sales Manager at York International/Johnson Controls in Louisville, Kentucky. During his five years there, Ed managed and increased the Johnson Controls presence across six states and oversaw the acquisition and fulfillment aspects of many large commercial and industrial projects in the region.

Following his success at Johnson Controls, Ed took on the pivotal role of National Business Development Manager North America in the Building Technologies division of Siemens Industry. This position highlighted his leadership skills, as he managed numerous executives and helped lead the implementation of a national business plan for one of Siemen’s BAU control solutions.

2013 brought Ed to Florida for the first time, and he’s stayed in the Sunshine State since. As the Senior Vice President of Operations for CMS Mechanical Service Company, he increased business opportunities and revenue for the company by effectively managing the service operation of nine regional offices which covered all 50 states. His next position, as VP of Operations for Thermal Concepts, Inc., helped solidify his professional development and growth experience across Florida to prepare him to take on his future role with North American Roofing.

Michelle Youngblood, Controller

Michelle Youngblood


Michelle joined North American Roofing in 1997 as a Cost Accountant and was quickly promoted to Assistant Controller in 1998 and then Controller in 2006. She’s been serving as Interim CFO for over a year. Her depth of industry and company experience have been invaluable to the financial backbone of the company. Before joining North American Roofing, Michelle worked in the retail industry as the Corporate Accounting Manager for a national fabric and craft chain. Michelle graduated with a BS in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Alex Lissenden - National Sales Manager

Director of National Sales

Alex has a passion for the unification of sales and environmental awareness. He received his BFA from Guilford College, completing his thesis in wood-firing locally harvested clays in the coastal town of Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. His background ranges from the local production and sales of folk ceramics in Western North Carolina to selling LEED-certified roofing materials nationwide.

As an account manager for Campbell’s Ceramics, Alex managed 25+ regional distributors spanning from the northern borders of Maine to the Panama Canal. Upon moving back to Asheville, North Carolina in 2007, Alex was introduced to the Verble family and began establishing new corporate relationships as a national account manager for North American Roofing. After earning his stripes in the field, Alex was given the opportunity to design and implement the company’s business development team, which included the placement of NARSI’s strategic account managers as well as the inception of the company’s Lead Generation Department. Alex is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and stays involved with the company’s field sales through his secondary role as corporate sales trainer.

Dwight Marwede

Technical Director

Dwight has spent his entire 36-year career in the roofing industry. While attending Cincinnati Technical College and the University of Cincinnati, he worked part time at a fourth-generation roofing company. He joined them on a full-time basis in the mid-seventies and became their VP of operations. While there, he was involved in some of the city’s most prestigious projects: the tile roof renovation of Cincinnati’s historic Music Hall and the design and installation of the stainless steel and nickel roofs installed on Procter & Gamble’s world headquarters.

Dwight joined North American Roofing in 1988 and has held several positions with the company including VP of operations and most recently VP of technical services and sales. His industry expertise and industry knowledge of all low- and steep-slope roofing systems is invaluable in providing innovative customer solutions. In addition, he holds numerous contractor licenses throughout the country, from Florida to California. He is also a member of RCI, CSI, NRCA, and ICSC.

Darin Blackwell - Director of Production, North American Roofing

Senior Director of Production

Darin has over 28 years of low-slope roofing experience. He started with North American Roofing in 1990 as a laborer on an EPDM installation crew. Within a few years, he had worked his way up to become a field foreman, managing multiple EPDM, TPO, and sheet metal installation crews. Darin has worked as a project manager in the commercial roofing industry, partnering with clients to help them realize their expectations when making the investment in the roofs on their buildings. Darin’s expertise and extensive knowledge elevated him to the position of assistant director of production and then, in 2016, as director. In April 2018, it was announced that Darin was promoted to the new position of Senior Director of Production.

Jill Tackett, Director of Service for North American Roofing

Jill Tackett joins North American Roofing with over twenty-five years of experience leading teams and departments across the Commercial Roofing, IT and Logistics industries. Jill’s accomplishments include the development of sales and service contracts and national account proposals. Her strategic planning skills also led to the successful implementation of strategic corporate objectives including data collection and integrity, purchasing and logistics, work orders, FCS software, and OSHA/Safety projects. As Director of Service for North American Roofing, Jill directs, manages, and assists in optimizing existing systems and bringing our technical roofing and service solutions to customers across the country.

Tony Dover, Director of Safety

Director of Quality and Safety

Tony graduated from Purdue University with a degree in building construction. He started with North American Roofing in 1990 as an estimator. After two years, he was promoted to assistant director of operations. In two more years, he was promoted to his current position overseeing the quality of installations but first and foremost the safety of North American Roofing’s most valuable assets, the employees. He is an OSHA construction outreach trainer and is a qualifier on several state contractors’ licenses. He manages several inspectors throughout the United States who help him keep North American Roofing one of the safest companies, as well as one of the industry leaders in quality installations.

Kyle Shelton, Director of Estimating

Director of Estimating

Kyle started as an Estimator with North American Roofing in January, 2012. During that time, he developed complex, technical scopes for some of the company’s largest projects. In 2014, Kyle was promoted to Estimating Manager and was responsible for managing the industry’s most advanced Estimating Department. With a team of estimators, CAD technicians, and Roof Techs, Kyle ensures that the company proposes the best roofing solutions for our customers.

Kyle graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management with Minor in Business Administration.

Ryan Cripe, Managing Director of Production

Managing Director of Production

As Managing Director of Production, Ryan Cripe uses his financial, accounting, and operations experience to manage our production staff from our headquarters in Tampa, FL. Ryan uses his leadership skills to guide and streamline the budgetary and financial aspects of installing commercial roofs as well as permitting, warranties, and construction operations. Ryan also works closely with our Senior Director of Production and Executive Leadership team to ensure strategic objectives remain at the operational forefront, both out in the field and the office. Before joining North American Roofing as Production Manager in 2017, Ryan Cripe spent 18 years at both private and publicly held companies providing accounting, finance, management, and operations leadership. Eleven of those years were spent in the construction industry and included the role of CFO of a commercial construction company in the West Coast. Ryan has extensive experience leading and overseeing the financial aspects of large commercial projects such as the construction of multiple highrise complexes throughout the West Coast of the United States.

Ryan attended Washington State University with a degree in Business Administration and Finance and is also a member in good standing with CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association).

Mary joined North American Roofing in 2012 where she leads recruitment and staffing for the company’s office and field staff as well as oversees the payroll and benefit administration process. With over 25 years of Human Resources experience, Mary also leads the development of various corporate objectives relating to employee relations, team development and management support. Prior to joining North American Roofing, Mary spent nine years with The Cliffs managing the HR function for seven luxury, gated golf course communities with a total employee base of 750.

Mary is also a proud graduate of Winthrop University of Rock Hill, SC.

Clint joined North American Roofing in 2014 with over twenty years of IT experience. As Director of Information Systems at North American Roofing, Clint manages and develops software applications along with strategically aligning technology with business processes and digital infrastructure transformation. At North American Roofing, Clint oversees a team of analysts, developers, and help desk employees, to optimize digital systems and to bring new opportunities and efficiencies across the organization.

Clint’s accomplishments include directing multiple program roll-outs for numerous start-up IT managed service providers. He has served in project management roles and developer capacities throughout his career. Clint has diagnosed and repaired servers for top Fortune 500 companies. He has developed and released a series of successful mobile applications and managed hundreds of successful IT business projects end-to-end.
